How to claim

  1. Request an invite through the offer box on this page, then register for the offer with the email address you'll open your AJ Bell account with; it must differ from the referrer's.
  2. Apply for an eligible SIPP, Stocks and Shares ISA, Lifetime ISA or Dealing account. The 120 days start at your first application.
  3. Make sure AJ Bell receives £10,000 in total across eligible accounts within those 120 days, by lump sums or transfers.
  4. Keep at least £10,000 in your accounts, without withdrawing or cancelling the funding, until the gift card is issued 30 days after funding.
  5. Look out for the £100 Amazon.co.uk gift card by email.
  6. For the next 12 months, check the reclaim rule before withdrawing or transferring money out.

Eligibility & requirements

  • You must never have been an AJ Bell customer, and be 18 or over and UK resident when the voucher is redeemed. AJ Bell employees and their families can't take part.
  • Eligible: SIPP, Stocks and Shares ISA, Lifetime ISA and Dealing account. Excluded: Ready-made Pension, Cash Savings Hub, Junior ISA and Junior SIPP.
  • £10,000 can be split across eligible accounts and must arrive within 120 days of the first new account application.
  • Tax relief AJ Bell reclaims for a SIPP doesn't count, so you need £10,000 of your own payments or transfers; the Lifetime ISA government bonus doesn't count either. Final salary (defined benefit) pension transfers and transfers from AJ Bell Investcentre or Dodl are excluded.
  • A Lifetime ISA takes up to £4,000 a year, so on its own it can't reach £10,000 in one tax year unless you transfer in another Lifetime ISA.
  • US and Canadian citizens and tax residents can't open an ISA, Lifetime ISA or Dealing account, and Canadian citizens and tax residents can't open a SIPP.
  • Use the same email for the offer registration and the account; if more than one person refers you, only the first referral counts. AJ Bell can exclude anyone it believes is abusing the offer, and can change or withdraw it.
  • The gift card is issued 30 days after funding with £10,000 still held and the funding not withdrawn or cancelled; there is no cash alternative. AJ Bell can reclaim the voucher amount within 12 months if withdrawals or transfers reduce your account value by more than 75%.
  • The referral can be used with other AJ Bell offers only where their terms allow it, through separate transactions and not with the same money. Investments can fall and charges apply.

Pros

  • A £100 Amazon.co.uk gift card for you once you qualify.
  • Funding can be split across the SIPP, Stocks and Shares ISA, Lifetime ISA and Dealing account.

Watch out for

  • £10,000 within 120 days, still held when the gift card is issued, with a 12-month reclaim rule.
  • The gift card isn't cash; platform charges and pension or ISA consequences can outweigh it.
  • Not open to anyone who has been an AJ Bell customer before, and US and Canadian citizens and tax residents are barred from most of the accounts.

FAQ

When does the 120-day clock start?
At the application for the first new eligible account, not when a transfer eventually arrives.
Does SIPP tax relief count towards the £10,000?
No. Tax AJ Bell reclaims for you and the Lifetime ISA government bonus don't count, so the £10,000 has to be your own payments or transfers. Final salary pension transfers and transfers from Investcentre or Dodl are excluded too.
Can I take the money out after I get the gift card?
You can, but AJ Bell can reclaim the voucher amount within 12 months if withdrawals or transfers cut your account value by more than 75%. On £10,000, that means more than £7,500.
Can I combine it with other AJ Bell offers?
Only where the other offer's terms allow it, through separate transactions and not with the same money.
