Classify before submitting
| State | What to check | Claim or enquiry |
|---|---|---|
| Nothing tracked | Click record, date, order ID and expected tracking period | Missing-cashback route after the allowed wait, before the reporting cutoff |
| Amount/rate wrong | Eligible basket, tax/delivery exclusions, category and saved rate | Incorrect-amount route with your calculation, not a duplicate missing claim |
| Declined | Return/cancellation, code, app handoff, excluded product or other attribution | Ask the reason and whether a dispute is permitted within its own deadline |
| Tracked but not payable | Retailer validation, completed stay/service and estimated payable date | Payment/status enquiry when appropriate; not a missing-order claim |
Read three dates, not one
Start with the retailer's portal page and your account's official support/claim form. Record the purchase or completed-service date the clock uses, the earliest reporting date, the last submission date and any exception. Keep the tracking and payout estimates separate from the claim deadline.
The public evidence checked for this guide does not establish every numeric claim cutoff. TopCashback's enquiry route requires login; Quidco's support pages blocked retrieval. Obtain the exact current deadline from your own account or support before waiting. This guide does not assert a universal 45-, 100- or other-day reporting period.
Provider-specific clock evidence as checked on 9 October
| Provider | Verified public timing | Still confirm in your account |
|---|---|---|
| TopCashback | Getting-started says up to 7 days to show pending and average 1–3 months for confirmation/payment; estimates only | Earliest claim date, retailer-specific cutoff, allowed disputes and how travel/service dates are counted |
| Quidco | No reporting wait/cutoff freshly verified: public support retrieval was blocked | Current tracking wait, last claim date, travel/insurance rules and declined/incorrect-amount dispute path |
A payout estimate is not a reporting deadline. Blocked or login-only evidence does not mean the provider lacks a claims service. Get the exact dates from the official account form or support before deciding to wait.
Build one complete evidence pack
- Save the portal click history, retailer terms/rate at purchase, order ID, date, eligible amount and complete order confirmation.
- Record voucher and automatic code use, gift-card payment, device/app route and any amendments, cancellation or return.
- Calculate expected cashback on the eligible amount after the actual exclusions; separate a personal welcome bonus from transaction cashback.
- Use the provider's official claim form for the right issue, with accurate retailer/order identifiers. Save the submission reference and the stated next update date.
- Respond to requests by the provider's deadline. Avoid duplicate claims and do not change a truthful order history to make an excluded purchase look eligible.
TopCashback's current assisted-claim feature
Its July 2026 official feature article says to select ‘I made a purchase’ when returning to the site. If the purchase does not track within the expected period, a personalised email can link to a pre-filled missing-claim form. Check the information and complete the submission rather than assuming the popup already resolves a claim.
The article links to the official account enquiries area for a form from scratch. Use that account route and inspect its current dates. This research did not log in, submit a claim or test the email feature; retailer acceptance remains a separate decision under the published terms.
When the amount will remain uncertain
Non-approved codes, refunds, excluded baskets or attribution to a different source can result in rejection even when the payment succeeded. TopCashback's terms say retailer/tracking-agency decisions control commission and allow investigation to stop. An uploaded receipt alone does not establish payment liability.
Keep a missing reward outside your bill budget. If the provider refuses, request the precise reason and use its complaint route if you have evidence of an error. Do not make a second purchase to ‘unlock’ a claim unless the provider's actual terms require it and the purchase was already needed. For future orders, use the UK cashback stacking checklist.
FAQ
- Should I wait three months before reporting a missing order?
- No. TopCashback's one-to-three-month confirmation/payment average is not its missing-claim reporting deadline. Check the tracking wait and actual form cutoff separately.
- Does a support ticket promise the reward?
- No. It records an enquiry or claim. Eligibility, retailer attribution, confirmation and payment still have to be established.
- Can I use the same reporting period on Quidco and TopCashback?
- No. The exact provider and retailer rules control, and this guide does not freshly verify Quidco's numeric clock. Check the official account form before choosing a date.
